The Home That Sold in Less Than 24 Hours
This article was published originally on May 10, 2017.
Welcome to 113 S Evaline Street — the four-bed, 3.5-bath Pittsburgh Victorian featured on HGTV’s pilot episode of “Steel City Rehab.” Renovated by our sister company, K Bennett Development Group, the East End home features a glass garage door in the kitchen; a private, fenced-in backyard; and one fine master suite.
If you watched the show — it aired on April 30, 2017 — you know that we sold this place the day after its public reveal. Actually, it hadn’t even been 24 hours. But the space’s efficient, contemporary redesign — combined with aptly placed furnishings — could have sold itself.
In preparation for the open-house event, we commissioned Abode Pittsburgh‘s ultratalented home-stagers and designers — headed by founder and creative director Heather Visnesky — to make every room feel livable. Furnished simply yet eclectically, the rehabbed home boasted new and vintage furniture, artwork, and decor during the gathering. In addition, Homestead-based woodworker John Malecki permanently installed a stellar master bathroom vanity and several fireplace mantels, all custom-made.
Evaline’s off the market, of course, but if its layout, finishes, and overall renovations suit your style, you’re in luck: KBDG is currently working on 14 rehab projects around the city. To be the first to find out about those properties, follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
