500 Edgewood: Oakmont
If books can’t be judged by their covers, then by default, homes deserve the same respect. However, if we were to make positive assumptions about 500 Edgewood’s interior from its obvious exterior perks — red brick; charming front porch; spacious, fenced-in backyard and elevated deck — turns out they’d be pretty accurate.
Beyond the front door, this remodeled colonial leads us from a sun-filled living room to an inviting kitchen and dining space — the former of which is compact and clad with stainless steel. Additionally, the kitchen offers access to a covered side porch, which could very well serve as an alternate entrance into the home, if desired. Upstairs, three carpeted bedrooms surround the modernized full bath, creating a layout conducive to convenience. Speaking of, this place has the driveway and garage space for up to two vehicles — though it’s also located within walking distance of Oakmont’s local movie theater and Carnegie Library, as well as dozens of eateries. Leave those cars at bay and treat yourself to a stroll, will you?
